- No good info on this from the image source. It is possible this item is French-Canadian, however, as the size is given as 47" x 63"—the French "Grande," the standard movie poster size in France—I believe this poster is from France. The McDonald's restaurant logo at the bottom indicates this was a promotional item.
- Star Trek IV was released in France February 3, 1988.
- Note that the only French language on the poster is the French title—the credits block and logotypes are in English.
- This artwork was also used for a Japanese B2 theatrical poster and a Japanese souvenir program, as well as for the North American theatrical release poster, a Spanish theatrical release poster, and a German home video release poster.
