• This poster is a variant of the more well-known cutaway diagram poster of the Enterprise-D, which features technical callouts and other information. 
• This poster was initially published and offered at retail (e.g. through Starlog magazine mail order) by JDT Associates in 1991; after that company folded, this poster design was acquired and offered by SciPubTech. SciPubTech would go on to print eight total Star Trek cutaway posters (click here for all entries for SciPubTech).
  
• In June 2000, SciPubTech's website described this poster as follows: '36"X 24" CUT AWAY POSTER OF THE U.S.S. ENTERPRISE NCC-1701-D SET AGAINST A SPACE BACKGROUND, SPECIFICALLY CREATED BY AWARD WINNING ILLUSTRATOR BRIAN SAURIOT. THE GASEOUS CLOUD WAS INSPIRED BY THE MUTURA [sic] NEBULA WHILE THE PLANETS ARE OF A TYPE NEVER BEFORE ENCOUNTERED.' The poster was sold for $19.95.

• The first edition of this poster (48" x 25.5" by JDT Associates) shipped with the following letter outlining the impressive technical details of the poster printing process (click to enlarge). "Regular Edition" in this letter differentiates this poster from the special limited edition print, signed and numbered by Cushman and printed on 110-lb Eloquence stock.
  

Star Trek: TMP "Enterprise Cutaway" Sales Corp Poster (1979)

David Kimble produced technical illustrations of the refit USS Enterprise to be used on the set of Star Trek: The Motion Picture, as well as the published blueprints. This large poster featuring Kimble's artwork was produced and sold by Sales Corporation of America. Note: This poster has been reprinted and offered in various editions over the years.
