About STP

What is this?

A visual reference guide for Star Trek film and TV posters. Work is ongoing. I'm primarily interested in studio-printed theatrical (and home video release) posters, but I will also be cataloging commercial posters, promotional posters, and professionally-produced alternative poster art (e.g. Mondo).

This project is not affiliated in any way with Paramount Pictures or CBS.

Why is this?

In searching for information on a Star Trek poster I own, I was unable to find any sort of reference guide or catalog specifically dedicated to Star Trek posters. There are plenty of sites and books dedicated to film art at large, and sites and books devoted to Star Wars posters, but none for Star Trek that I have been able to find. So, since my own interests in Star Trek and film art overlap here, I thought I'd try to make one myself. Given the obsessive nature of us Trekkies, I feel there's got to be something like this already out there — if you know of such a thing, please leave a comment below!

My goals are to provide an illustrated record of as much official Trek art as I can, and to appreciate and recognize the diversity of art and design that has gone into promoting Star Trek over the decades.

Who is this?

It's me. And you! I'm looking for help — I'd love for this to be a community-driven resource. If you have information on the artists, designers, or provenance of any of the Star Trek poster art I've posted here — or art I haven't! — or if you have corrections or better quality scans or photos of any piece you'd like to contribute, please leave a comment or get in touch with me on Twitter!
